Shock change + Lift question
Ok- So I ordered full rear and fron coil OME 2" for my 98.
When I change the leafs on the back, do I have to remove the shocks?
If so, will they somehow fully expand and end up breaking?
The reason I ask is that whenever I have changed shocks in the past, they come with a zip-tie type of restraining cord that you cut once they're in place. I've never taken shocks out and put them back in before. (the same ones)
Also, do i need to remove the chocks in the front?
Does anyone know if the OME 2" lift is even in the front and rear?
Or will I need to spacer the front?
If I need to spacer the front (after measuring total lift/evenness I guess)
Which brand should I get? Should they be Poly or rubber?
Can I drill out a few hockeypucks and use those?
Sorry for the bombardment of Questions-
I'll appreciate the help though, and will post before and after picks-
Thanks-

Also, do i need to remove the chocks in the front? Yes, unbolt at the bottom. they will extend but you will be able to remount with out having to compress much. you will also need to undue the swaybar links atleast
Does anyone know if the OME 2" lift is even in the front and rear?
Or will I need to spacer the front? XJ naturally are nose down about 1"

Can I drill out a few hockeypucks and use those? Not for spacer. Hockey pucks are used to make an extended bump stop

See notes in red. Let the New springs settle for a few weeks before adding spacers to level it out.

Poly spacers tend to make alot of noise but are more durable than rubber ones. For the front springs you will have to unhook the sway bar and shocks then jack up one side of the axle to drop the other side to remove and replace the springs. Then do the same for the other side.

and check terraflex's website for the spacers. in the scratch and dent section. they had them for the zj and something else, which is the same as ours, for 2.50 a spacer
