i've seen em before but never bought one, I wonder if it would still pass the sniff test, I know its supposed to.
we don't have sniff test in my county, they do a visual inspection to make sure nothing has been removed. I've been denied an inspection on my altima when I had a high flow cat cause it was shinny and clearly not oem. I told them to test it, but they couldn't cause they don't have the machine. I'm just scared to put one in and then be illegal by ignorance

yeah there suppose to pass... if it didnt then i would contact the company and im sure they would make it right... but i dont think there would be a problem... they dont test where im at yet... but its right on the other side of the line... they should till test reguardless if its aftermarket or not... if you replaced it because its old and bad then theres nothing bad about that...

If they do a visual inspection where you live, I doubt that cat would pass just as housew said. Also, I wouldn't count on that "company" making anything right if you fail a smog test. You bought a $40 cat from them. You think they are going to jump through hoops to take care of you? Highly unlikely.
I know one thing, high flow cats work much better when fully warmed up, so if you've got to pass a smog inspection make sure you drive it a good long way before showing up for the test.
