Hi, 94 xj 4.0, not sure on what model auto trans, but i have shifter issues. Everything was disconnected when i got the vehicle, so i manually put the vehicle in park with some visegrips, and set the shifter in park, connected the linkage, but it doesn't feel right when shifting down through the gears. Was wondering if anyone had any pics of their linkage setup, or if someone has an illustration from a service manual i could referance? Its a 3spd w/od, if need be,i could gobto the garage and try to find a model # or something. Also, do i need at-case lowering kit or any steering components for a 3 inch lift?? thanx

First, you have an AW4.
Two, define "doesn't feel right"
Finally, TC drop really depends on the individual vehicle. If you get vibes without it, it will help. If you don't, you don't really need it, it'll lower ground clearance. Steering-An alignment after installation at least (I'm assuming your rig isn't lifted yet)

Thanx for the reply. When i pull the shifter from park,it releases like someone is pulling it out of park, its almost as if it has tension on it. when i come down thru the gears from park to low (1/2)it wont click, or lock into that gear, the selector doesnt line up with that specific selection. Im just leary of it, this jeep was a basket case i had to piece back together, the guy said he was gonna replace the engine cause the old one thru a rod thru the side of the block, alot of stuff was missing or disconnected that didnt need to be. Haynes manuals are useless, and im relatively unfamiliar/new the the jeep brand!!!
