Default Shift indicator doesn't line up

Just bought my first Jeep yesterday - 96 Cherokee Classic. I know nothing about it.

The indicator by the shifter doesn't line up correctly - park is higher than the top of the shift indicator area, so every gear is moved up one on the indicator. (Does that make sense?) So, when I want to put it in drive, it looks like I'm putting it in neutral.

It shifts fine, so I'm not super worried about it, was just curious. Anyone ever see this issue before?

Slide up the indicator plastic with your finger. Mine did that you just have to move it.

You can usually maneuver it with your fingers, or pop the bezel off and move it around till its right.
