I Recently acquired An 88 Xj And My Shift Cable Going To The Transmission Had The Plastic Connector On The End Wear Out. I Work At The Parts Store And Bought A Replacement. Installed The New Cable And It Kept Coming Out Of Adjustment, So I Got Another Replacement. Now This Cable Has Fallen Apart. After Talking To A Few Known Good Mechanics They Said That This Brand Cable Is Crap And I Need To Go With A Factory Cable Or A Heavier Duty Aftermarket Cable. I Cant Find Either Anywhere, All The Salvage Yards Here Dont Keep Cherokees. Any Help Is Appreciated.
