Kinda looks like the bolt that won't let go of the bolt that holds the springs in place. You know, the one that gets broken a lot because people don't know to heat them first?
I'd be getting that thing up in the air and looking at those springs.
Same thing happened on my 1987 Cherokee XJ. Came home one day, to see a nut with part of a bolt laying in my parking spot. I wasn't quite sure where it went, but after checking the 4 "U" bolts on the rear axle, I'd discovered I could only count 3 nuts on one side of the rear axle, and all 4 were accounted for on the other side of the rear axle. I tried to find a blurry picture to help you out, but this is the best I could do.
