she stalls immediately
I'm new to this, and am looking at a 1998 sport with 186k miles in great shape. The problem is this... she starts, but won't idle and stalls right away. Any ideas? someone told me 'Air sensor" if so, how much are we looking at???
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!

Can you keep it running with the throttle?
If it'll run with throttle, but just not idle, it could be a few things. The first thing I'd check is the IAC (Idle Air Control) which is a solenoid on the throttle body. They occasionally get dirty and gummed up, and stick. Cleaning them out usually fixes them, but sometimes they need replacing.

Thanks, yes that seems to be what it's doing I can keep her running by holding the gas. The battery was disconnected, and it could be a security reset or a BR connector under the hood. I'm not with the truck now, so can't check...
