setting cam timing
Hi, I need some help I have a 86 xj 2.8L and my timing chain was loose and mess with my timing, how can i set the right timing before i get the new timing chain on please help thanks.

Engine: 4.3L with headers and full 3" exhaust system
1. Turn the crank shaft to top dead center
2. The timing mark on the crank sprocket should be straight up.
3. align the timing mark on the cam sprocket straight down.
4. You should be able to draw a straight line through the center of the shafts and the center of the timing marks
