So, my jeep came w/ the speaker bar, don't believe it was from the factory. Anyway, I had to replace one of the seatlbelts. Then, I realized they were supposed to anchor up where the speaker bar is. So, how would I go about anchoring my seatbelts to the roof tie in, if the speaker bar is there? I'm fine w/out mounting them but I'm an expecting daddy so figured it would be a good idea to have some security for my girl-to-be. I just don't want to lose my speaker bar. I have read somewhere about moving it forward, I think. I'm guessing there is another roof support somewhere further forward that I can mount it to?

Just slide the speaker bar farther back or forward. It's held in by 4 screws I believe but the siding should be plenty strong to hold it if you move it else where.

Iv got mine mounted with just the trim since I added mine to my 89 does fine for me. I have thought about moving it forward to the roof bow and drilling it into it so it doesnt bounce any more ( i have no headliner) but idk if I ever will.

Awesome! Sounds like I may be in luck. I guess I'll have to poke around abit and locate it so I can mount it in place. I have an extra lamp that I can use to mount in the speaker bar, if I mount it more centered, in the heep. YAY, more light! Now if I can just figure out how to get the cargo lamp to turn on when I open the liftgate.

So, I was poking around the headliner; right about where I assumed the anchor points would be for the seatbelts. Low and behold, I could feel where the bolt holes were. Needless to say, I guess the speaker bar can go where it should originally and I can mount the harness. On that note, seeing as how the seatbelts are meant to anchor to the ceiling, why would the headliner not have already had the holes in it, where they should mount? Was there another variation how the rear seatbelts where mounted?

My rear seat belts mount to the floor only. Some 4drs were like this as well. I have a replacement seat belt out of a 4dr for my rear seats. Its only a lap belt. Not to thread jack but how can I remove the bolt in the rear lap belt? I have gone as far as spraying pb blaster on it for a month straight and then took an impact to it and it will not move the bolt. Any help would be sweet

Good luck with that. One of my seatbelts were cut, so when i replaced it, i had the same issue. Initially, i sprayed the bolt down with wd40 and managed to back it out about half way (using a ratchet), then it decied to not budge beyond that point. I was going to throw an impact wrench on it instead. But instead, i broke out the BF breaker ratchet (24" rachet, 1/2") and managed to back it out.
