So i replaced my Belt yesterday and it chirps a little bit. I only live 10 mins from work and it chirped a couple times on my way in. My question is how tight should i have put it on. I got it about where the old one was i think. i don't know if it is possible to over tighten it, but it is pretty stiff. Not a whole lotta play. so any help would be appreciated. thnx.

cool i changed mine yesterday too! with the engine running just keep on tightening it until the birds go away..and remember its not gonna be where the old one used to be..belts stretch, so u might have to put this one a little looser or tighter..

Ya it doesn't squeak constant only occasionaly. for a second or two.

if its a constant one that either gets worse with higher rpm or goes away, it could be an idler pulley on the way out
