Default Which sensors should be replaced when doing a 0331 head swap?

I know I read on a couple threads while doing research on the 0331 head that there are a couple sensors that "while you're in there" should be replaced. I can't find the right threads anymore...
Little help?

By the way thank you all a ton for your first hand knowledge on all things XJ. It's been a really big help as I make plans and get even more obsessed with this Jeep...

I didn't feel the need to replace any sensors when I replaced an 0331 head on a previous XJ I had. I really can't think of any sensors that are that terribly hard to get to with the head on anyway. I would change the spark plugs though if they haven't been changed in awhile and inspect the exhaust manifold for cracks.

Maybe you're thinking on older head that had the temp sensor in rear of the head.

Otherwise, no sensors I can think of on a 0331 XJ.

I changed out my 02 sensors.. I didn't want old antifreeze contaminated sensors.

Threw in some new NTK sensors..

I picked up ZFR5N's for $2 a piece at summit and the new manifold is on its way.

I had not considered the oxy sensors...
I am all for helping the environment when I can, i will certainly be doing those too. Thanks.

Out of curiosity, what would contaminated sensors do?

It burns them up,, puts a coating of white powder residue(burnt antifreeze)all over them. The gas ratio and catalytic converter monitoring is effected.
The Jeep will run real rich and rough.

which oxy sensors did you end up using?
both advance and summit list 3 different part numbers that work with a 2000 xj...
advance says: 23099, 23506, and 23151
summit says: 23099, 23151, and 23110

i found more info on autozone's site:
the 23151 is for upstream w/ Cali emissions
the 23110 is for downstream w/ Cali emissions
the 23506 is for upstream w/o Cali Emissions
the 23099 is for downstream w/o Cali Emissions

I used NTK 23099 and 23506.. I Don't have Cali emissions,,Federal only.

Do you know if you have Cali or Fed emissions?

I would think about changing the crank sensor. It looks like it would be easier with the manifolds out of the way.

I didn't replace any sensors during my 0331 swap either. The oxygen sensors are a good idea though. Wish I would have thought of that!
