With no manual and no remote to check for a manufacture the next option would be to find the device. Look for adjustment screws or brand. Some take a pass code set through a series of key turns and with knowing what model there is no way to know. Your better off unplugging it so you can me be annoyed free till you get the info you so desire.

I had that on my 92 and it was a PITA!!! One morning I couldn't get it to turn off and probably woke everyone up in the neighborhood. Keyless entry was nice but I hated that alarm. I eventually hit the button to "unlock" then took the fob off and put it in the center console then if I wanted to lock it up I just manually did it so I could still use my key, because the thing was stupid, if I used the fob to lock it then used the key to unlock the door, the freakin thing would still go off!
In my opinion, it is a mistake on Jeeps part. I don't think there is a way to turn the sensitivity down, it is just a simple system that moniters the doors and engine. There might be a relay, or fuse to kill it but you said you don't want to. You may just have to live with it and learn how to not make it angry.

I had an alarm on mine the PO didn't give me any working remotes so I took it to my local car stereo place and they removed it.They told me it wasn't even hooked up right.
