You guys a jerks...don't tell him to do things like pour salt water in the engine...someone's gonna actually do it. You're supposed to use grape soda...the bubbles clean up all the engine sludge increasing fuel economy.

Well since it's just the bubbles that clean, can I use orange soda?

It's all about the black football in the bumper or the black soft ball under the hood. Need to smash that thing with a hammer a few good times. Don't do to much damage just enough for the let the air in.

Then mount it on the roof just drip holes in the fire wall and run the lines into the cab and then more holes in to the roof. Be sure the holes are 3-4 inches wide

Are you serious? You go and get a little butthurt over some joking around, and lose your posting virginity to try and act like "Papa Jeep" here or something?

By the way the OP was talking a few posts back, he knows all this soda in the engine, salt in the intake, flux capaciter up-da-butt stuff is a joke. It's called "F-U-N".

My rocker panels gave me an idea the other day. It got me up to around 35mpg in 4WD. I don't even bother to take it out of 4WD any more I get such good mileage. The trick is to take a good look at your jeep, decide which parts are essential and which parts you like, then take a hack saw and cut the rest off. If you use power tools it won't work. Learned that the hard way.

Be careful, whatever you do don't break any glass. That stuff can cut you.

This trick doesn't have much to do with mpg but it's common knowledge that stickers add like 5 horsepower. Maybe more with some of them vinyl ones. Anyone dyno this?

take sand, any kind of sand, and suck it slowly into the intake tube (take it off after the filter)

have someoen in the jeep holding the revs around 2500 - 3000 and put about 10 handfuls of sand thru the intake, this will port and polish your head, aswell as polish off any build up in the combustion chamber.

stickers add 10 hp each if you eat them while adding fuel to your ride, and you make sure atleast 4 people can see you.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Now that we have all had some fun with the "vacuum line" secrets I will jump in with a more serious reply and say..Perhaps your cousin misunderstood and this person he was talking to was referring to using some sort of hydrogen generator which can possibly increase your gas milage that much. Havent heard of anyone putting one in an XJ but know some people who have used this technology in other vehicles with success. Though not in cold weather.

You know its true.

Just be careful with the extra power.....
This poor fellow tried it and you see what happened to him.
The YZ250 has the purple powerband? I thought the 490 had purple and the 250 had green....
