Default Seat Question

Will the passenger side seat from a 99 Cherokee fit on the drivers side of my 99 Cherokee? I found a perfect passenger side seat but I don't know if the seat will mount up underneath on the driver side.

No, it won't. The seats are offset to one side or the other to clear the transmission tunnel.

....how ever u can remove it off the slider!!!..then move it to what ever side...how ever the recline bar could be an issue.

What you may be able to do...and I'm only thinking out loud here...is pull the skin (fabric, foam padding, etc.) off of the passenger seat and slip that over the metal skeleton if the drivers seat. The only things than might get in the way that I know of are the reclining handle and valence on the side.

It might work, it might not. Again, I'm just thinking out loud.

Do this. Sounds like a much better idea. Seems less complicated too.

......no just take the seat off of its slider then put on the slider that lines up with what side u want
....i did that on my jeep to save money I gave myself the better of the 2 seats.

Its only 4 bolts and its super easy but hard to get to.
