Default Seat Question

Will the passenger side seat from a 99 Cherokee fit on the drivers side of my 99 Cherokee? I found a perfect passenger side seat but I don't know if the seat will mount up underneath on the driver side.

No, it won't. The seats are offset to one side or the other to clear the transmission tunnel.

What you may be able to do...and I'm only thinking out loud here...is pull the skin (fabric, foam padding, etc.) off of the passenger seat and slip that over the metal skeleton if the drivers seat. The only things than might get in the way that I know of are the reclining handle and valence on the side.

It might work, it might not. Again, I'm just thinking out loud.

Do this. Sounds like a much better idea. Seems less complicated too.
