the power seat on the drivers side only works when it wants to. anything i can do to get it to work?

 

does it work than stop working. Cause sometimes the motor will heat up and stop working. Or it could be a loose connection or bad ground.

 

Yeah, I'd check the plug. It should be under the seat.

 

when you hit the button it will move about 1/2 then stop then later it will do the same thing.

 

It is actually a simple task to remove the seat. I think two nuts and two bolts. All of them I wanna say 14mm.

Pull the seat and inspect it. The motor could be a lil loose causing it too bind when powered. You could also lube up the rails a lil while you are down there so the seat will slide easier. Connector could maybe use some contact cleaner. New grounds will help everything work a lil better. If none of that works then it may just be time to head to a JY and find another power seat motor.
