Had a coupon for a free tire rotation at Sears Auto and I did need the tires rotated. They did it and then the mandatory up sell barrage this time it was a
coolant "exchange"...they dipped some kind of strip in the overflow tank and told me the coolant was too acidic. Oh and the also strongly recommended a power steering flush. I know the existing coolant, radiator and coolant tube were new in May 2012 or 15-20K miles ago and I have probably added a total of about 4oz. in the last year. It's got plenty of life left in it.

Oh well, the real price of the "free" tire rotation.

Why would u need to add any coolant? Any coolant lost is replaced with air when the motor cools. Air in the system is not good. Coolant/antifreeze test kits r available at auto parts stores for cheap. Don't guess about how much coolant has been replaced.

I always wondered who's old coolant you were getting with an 'exchange', lol.
Agreed on checking it yourself if there's a question.

GMAFB....you guys have your refractometers at the ready? Did you use deionized water in your Jeeps? If not, stop what you are doing and flush your cooling system...but not with hard water. Then drop silly coin on pre-mixed coolant for your Jeep.
