Hello everybody, I feel a bit bad posting such a small problem, but I can't seem to find any solutions anywhere. My dome light will come on like it's supposed to when I open doors, but the switch will not turn it on. When I search around, I find people who have issues with the light not turning off, but nobody who can't get it to turn on. I dismantled the dashboard to find a leak a few weeks ago, so I'm thinking I probably messed up the switch. Just wanted to see if anybody has had similar issues. Thanks!

IIRC the buttons are activated by ground on the dome lights. So there could be a ground issue for the button. Positive should be hot all the time. Since they come on when you open the door then you obviously have a hot wire to the dome light.

 

You probably fried the switch. Those things are divas. $20 at the parts store.
