Will a 97 thru 01 plastic tank fit a 96? And will the pump from my 96 fit a 97 - 01 tank? I have a hole in my tank at the top and wanted to put a plastic tank in. Can I do this?

I think you could fit a 97+ tank inthe xj but you will need the pump as well and a few mods to hook up the fuel line(newer ones are a return less system)

I guess I'll just buy a 97+ tank and try it.
