Default Searched, couldn't find? Hub unit question!

Whats the difference between a 96 and 01 hub unit? My brother gave me a hub from a 2001 and I have a spare 96 and I see no difference. I even measured the distance between the 3 holes and even mounted it on a spare axle shaft I have, it fit the 96 axle shaft just fine. I see nothing different. Could I use this hub unit? Thanks for your responses.

Post#15 shows the difference, look at the depth of the circle in the middle of the hub, the main issue is rotor fitment between the two styles.

Nope they'll bolt up, but the rotors between the years would have to be swapped also as the hat size on the rotor differs as well.

If the rotor won't work with the hub, youll know it by simply setting the rotor on it.

Just as a bit of info for anyone looking at this, 99 was the crossover year. In late 99 they went away from the cast iron rotors and changed the hubs as well.
