Anyone got a spare rear t case cover for a np231j laying around?

 

Might get better results if this was in "Wanted".

Head to the junk yard and grab one. Doubt they would charge much for one.

 

I also doubt they will sell a half T-case.

 

I just put "231 transfer case parts" in google "exact phrase" and got 80,000, or so hits. (advanced search). Meant to try e-bay, I missed!

 

I don't see why they wouldn't. They are there to sell the parts ya need. I've nvr had a place tell me you have to buy all of it in reference to a part. Just saying I highly doubt they would say no to a sale. But ya never know.

 

Ya your prolly right. The J/Y's I deal with are more for metal than parting out in my area.

 

The junkyards wouldn't sell me that exact part. I was told they wanted me to get the whole transfer case along with my old one :/ To hell with that.

 

How much are you looking to pay. Worth the while I may make a trip to the jy and find you one

 

I found one eventually on a jeep someone was parting out. Got a whole 231 for around 75 bucks with only 65k miles on it. Thanks for the offer though

 

id pay half of a new one. around 50 bucks.
