I simply removed the air intake hose from the tb and sprayed it straight in.

this was prompted by a misfire which was caused by a piece if carbon actually getting stuck on a spark plug tip. big chunk. so I did the ethnic cleansing and put new plugs in it. no probs since.
LOL. Now I'm convinced that your avatar is actually a personal photo!!

I'm guessing the engine would die from lack of ignition before hydrolocking. I didn't spray the hose wide open into the tb. I've done this before on other engines. the source of water isn't the issue, it's how well metered it is. the hose just made it easy to do the job in one sitting.

a lot of junk came out. there was a bunch of crap on the ground behind my jeep. I'm no rookie to engines, I just take different approaches than most.

I'd gladly share the video but I did this some time ago. as you can imagine a 5 min long video ate up most of my ip5s memory, so I removed it. I sent part of it to a friend, ill have to try and track it down.

Not to worry. Your temporally messing with the fuel/air ratio and triggering a miss here and there. All is good afterwards.

I'm not worried about you locking the engine, just a warning to others not as familiar with engines and perhaps unable to judge how much is too much.

Sure have.
I'm old....I've tried damn near everything once.

Chevron Techron (great stuff if used on a regular basis)
Lucas
etc
etc

Best results to date are from Seafoam.
