me and my wife went out and on are way home we were driving past constuction on the freeway and we started to smell gas. my natural reaction was that we were driving past construction and they probably spilt some on the ground. but when we got past the construction it was still smelling bad so i started to get worried. when i got home and i turned the engine off but it was still running. so i popped the hood and found out that my gas line to the fuel injector line had exploded and it was squirting fuel all over the exuast pipes and the battery. it was scary that i came so close to burning down my cherokee. has anybody else had that happen to there cherokees?

 

No, I have had some of the o-rings leak, but not the whole line!! WOW, you're lucky it didn't burn up! Glad all is well, aside from the fuel leaks!!

i have had injectors spray and leak, and well my dumb *** kept drivin since i didnt have the money to fix it. but all good now! lol durin that stupid time i would drive with my 2 fire extingisher's (cant spell today) one in my lap other in passenger seat lol...

 

Wow! Thankfully there wasn't a fire and everyone is safe.

I have had a line bust and spill fuel all over the exhaust. As I was watching the fuel sizzle, I decided that it was time to put a couple of extinguishers on board.

 

yeah i fixed it as soon as i opened my hood, i just cut the line and made it shorter. quick fix but it works. i am going to fix it better tonight
