umm dont keep putting your trans in and out of neutral all the time, not only does that not help your mileage, but it will wear down your trans a lot faster, and from what i understand, the Jeep auto trans does not need any help with premature failure. Plus if you notice, the RPMs are a little higher when in neutral, so that will use more gas than just coasting to a stop in D. A good tip would be to install a vacuum gauge some where near the instrument cluster so you can monitor just how much throttle your using, and its direct effect on your gas mileage. ex: light load or no load/ deceleration will show as high vacuum numbers(good) part or heavy load(throttle) will show as very little vacuum(bad)
I was actually thinking about doing this while I was on my way home today.

I agree with aircruiser, bp gives me better mpg in my yeep. I in the urban city up here in mn, its around 2.09 at it's cheapest. Aircruiser did you paint your rims green?
i calculated my gas milage the other day, and it was around 15-16 mpg, i drive around 50 miles a day, so its been gettin easier, but i would like to get better mileage too, i live in central florida, and i always get gas from kangaroo, not sure what major oil company supplies them... but i might have to try bp, or shell...
