sagging right front
My right front sags about an inch lower than my left front. i was wondering if it could be a bad shock or spring? A couple weeks ago I had an encounter with a ditch on the side of the road and put my upper control arm through the side of the oil pan, bent the lower control arm mount, and busted some tranny lines. I welded the oil pan back up, fixed the tranny lines, and beat the LCA mount back as best I could. Possibly the accident has something to do with it? Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated. BTW i looked over the coil and its not broken.
You didn't bend the axle or anything like that did you? I would think the coil may be bad. They only way to tell is to swap coil and see if they other side leans and then you'll know.

Replace your spring it has lost some of its umff. You can get another at a JY for about 10-15 bucks. Just don't get one from a Up Country Cherokee or it will have an extra inch of lift.
Coil springs. The only thing that effects ride heights on each corner is the coil spring/leaf spring. it's POSSIBLE you lost some air in the tire and that could lower a corner some. Tire pressure good?
tire pressure is good, i have 3 inch lift springs in it now and 1.75 inch spacers, so it looks like im going to have to spend some extra cash for the 4 and a half inch lift springs.
thanks for all your help guys.

90% of the time this is correct, but what else was bent? this may be more than you think, take it to a suspension shop and get it checked, just to be safe, you never know what ya cracked

could be back shook, broke or craked spring. You might also check the ball joints or the control arm. check the angles and the lengths of both sides. you could of broke a body mount or shifted your shim pack. to put the control arm through the oil pan you had to hit it perty hard. try to be careful out there dont get yourself killed. Good luck.

looking at your pics you might check the spring , spring mounts, also the frame for twists and or cracks . check all weld joints and take to a front end shop not JL. or Merchants.

mine is the same way but when i got my alignment yesterday he said the UCA's i made the one on the right is a lil longer(explains why it pulls left lol), and my spring on that side curves toward the front i thought this was because the spacers i made messed up teh sping?
but now i think with the angle that the spring perch sits at it might be causing this, what do you guys think?

hey thanks for the input guys, and yes i did hit it hard my head bounced off of the roof
...ouch. Anyway i did think that maybe i bent the ball joint but it doesnt steer hard. This has been bugging me for a while and i have measured and re-measured almost everything i could on the front end. The funny part is it seems to sit level sometimes and sag at other times as crazy as that sounds. Also i didnt think about a body mount but do XJ's have body mounts? i thought they were uni-body.
Will keep trying to diagnose the problem and keep you updated, thanks again.

Yes they are unibody but I think he was refering to the lower control arm mount that is welded into the unibody. I have seen them tear off in a collision and you did collide with a ditch embankment.
Oh i see. Yea the control arm mount on the body is fine. BTW the ditch lead to a drain pipe about 2 ft in diameter and thats what i hit....blew it to pieces...the pipe that is.

What control arms are you using? those might be off a bit from the pipe you hit. You might need to re-measure them against the manufacturers specs.
Rustys custom LCA's for stock wheels. They are a bit longer than stock LCA's and they have a bend in them to clear the wide tires on stock wheels. I know i didnt get the LCA mount straightened perfectly from the accident but its close. Do you think this could cause the sag?
