so I swapped my stock wheels and tires for some 30.05 inchers, and theyre rubbing really bad because my leafe springs are sagging.
my question is; Will a rough country add a leaf, which should add 1.5 to 2 inches bring my leaf springs back up to par. or should i just buy all new leaf springs? i should also mention that i will be investing in a new rough country 4.5inch sus lift next month and need to know if new leaf springs are a must.
thanks for the help.

I recommend going with a new set of leaf springs. You can use an add-a-leaf now but that will just postpone your leaf springs flattening. Later on if they invert they'll cause rubbing again. Try to get the majority of your lift from leaf springs alone (those with a specified lift upgrade); add-a-leafs, blocks, and shackles can cause wear on stock parts which usually leads to replacing entire assemblies. Add-a-leafs bolt up directly into stock position and usually include angled shims to somewhat realign your driveshaft.
If your going to do full leafs instead of a AAL i would started spraying them now.
I sprayed my bolts a week before i replaced my leafs and both bolts still broke inside the frame and required them to cut into the frame to get them replaced then weld in new pices of the unibody.

Damn, good to know. I think I may go with the aal for now, and when i get the new lift ill upgrade to rear springs, and throw the add a leaf on my s-10. I trully just need an imediate fix and cant risk, being with out a vehicle.
thanks again.

He was saying he broke both bolts in the frame when he was installing full leaf packs instead of a AAL.
I had the same issue with me i just did a 3" rough country lift with full spring packs and broke both of my bolts in the frame also and i soaked everything almost most 2 weeks prior for everyday and still broke them lol.

Good luck with that RC AAL. You will hate it. I did and it came off within two weeks. It's SO rough, just like the name of it. Putting that thick of a leaf on will have your stock leaves looking like a "W" as they bend over the new super-thick AAL.
I don't like to recommend blocks but I would recommend them over the RC AAL anyday. It's seriously CRAP. Use a 1" block as a temporary setup until you get the new packs. Blocks are easier to install than AAL's. If you really want an AAL, get the Old Man Emu AAL from jeepinoutfitters or dpg off road. It doesn't break your back and lifts approx 1".
Save for the 4.5" full leaf pack.
