I just completed my lift today and found myself having to remove the upper bolts as the lowers were installed in a manner which made it impossible to remove them without dropping the spring with the shackle as a pair. Luckily all the spring bolts came out fine, alot of work, but fine. I did however sheer two upper shock bolts requiring me to drill and tap a couple holes. All in all not too bad. The Cherokee has gone from grocery getter to look getter. I could'nt be happier with the result!
They are about $6-$7 a piece at the dealer.
I believe the lower control arm uses similar or the same size bolts too.

Why do all that when your gonna buy a full lift kit in a month, No one else seems able to see this, throw your stock wheels and tires back on till you get your lift why spend money needlessly when it will give you more for your jeep. You say you swapped out your stock tire's and wheels for the 30's and new wheels right.
