Default ?s for alignment pro's !

I have a 96 XJ and was wondering if I put coil spacers in if I would need an alignment. I just did a lift and had it aligned 3 weeks ago. Will I need to do it again?

You will need another alignment, because the geometry of the suspension is changing again and everything will be out of wack.

you could get by without it and not have any major consequences, however it is highly recommended and you will most likely see a little death wobble and your steering wheel will be be slightly off-center.

hope that helps

1.5 to 2in on front. I did a bastard pack on rear and it sits about that much higher than the front.

the bastard pack will sag a bit with time, i suggest you add only 1.5 (you already have 3 right?) and you don't need to do do another allignment.

Thanks. I just talked to the shop that aligned it and they said no. If it was an ifs then yes. So ,I'm doing 1.5 more inches then . Would I need new control arms if I do this? Sorry , I just thought of that and I know its supposed to go in the all lifts section but I'm already typing .

4.5 lift for the stock LCAs is the limit. The arm touches the top of the mount on the axle and you have a limited flex out. Before you buy new arms i suggest you try the ride with 4.5 and see if it gets too stiff, but you should already be used to the stiffness with 3'.
In that case i would upgrade to long arms or bracket drop.

Im not too concerned with stiffness but with 3in it rides very smooth. I was surprised at that. I can barely tell theres a lift on it.So I should be alright with stock arms. Thanks for the info.
