Rusting roof
No Problem. I've spent many years repairing offroad equipment that takes a beating everyday being used by operators who could tear up a cannon ball. So every thing I do is as bullit proof as possible.
I think I'll look at this POR stuff the other people are talking about.

I would have serious reservations about paying a lot for a paint job that will only last for a few years in the hot Texas sun. I also haul duck and goose decoys, waders and other hunting stuff on the roof. Not to mention saltwater fishing. It just seems logical for me to cover the roof with the toughest stuff that I can find. As I get older, life is about function, not form. YMMV...

Hey texmedic49, how did the Herculiner turnout for you? Do you like it?
I have some minor surface rust (at least it seems minor to me...pic attached) on my roof and will be taking on the project of cleaning up and painting next weekend. Would love to know if this is a good direction to go in. I am more concerned with functionality over looks at this point - haul a good amount of stuff up there.
