Hello, I am looking at buying a 1998 Jeep Cherokee with 78,000 miles. The only things wrong with it is that the Spring Hanger is rusted and needs repair and the Tailpipe broke off about a foot or So. Can anyone give me an estimate of what this will cost to repair? The Jeep runs great. Seller is selling it for 2100 and my Budget is 2500. Hoping it wont cost too much for this to be fixed.
Comment responses please!

By "spring hanger" do you mean the shackle that attaches the rear end of the rear leaf spring to the chassis right in front of the rear bumper? It looks like this.

as for the spring, if you do it yourself, only cost would be new spring shackle(if that's what u ment) and tools unless you already have them. Bolts can be a pain to get off but if your jeep isn't too rusty, you should be able to get it off with breaker bar and some PB blaster. Stock shackles are only $20 each on quadratec.
