so im changing out my leaking rusted brake like and as disconnecting the nut from the master cylinder its looking like its only a single flare and I already flared one side of the new line as a double flare. will this make a difference if it is a double compared to a single?

I have never seen a single flare on a brake line. Its most likely a double flare.
