no misses or stalls just like it loses power like one time left a wrench under the hood and and was on the fuel ballast resistor its not that i would see it lol so need to check the pressure and fuel pump connections thanks

 

Well got to looken at it and thought i would just try a fuel pump i had layen around ran like a million bucks but couldnt get the pump in cause smashed tank so tomorrow going to put another tank in and with fingeers crossed hope problem solved. might just go get a new one if runs good for awhile thanks for all the help now if fixed good going to start my axle mounts for front axle have 4wd again yay

To help other people out the weird knock was the flex-plate cracked

 

have you changed your fuel filter and do a full tune up and change the oil because all that can make your xj run like crap. i have a 93 and i got mine for 400 dollars and it ran like that to for the first couple of weeks until i changed everything
