first hot day today and noticed my temp was running at 220 to 235, or something like that, n e way. i found a thread on here and think i got it narrowed down to the electric fan. just took it out and was running at 215 or so and the electric fan was not comming on, so my question is does ne one know if of where the thermostat or relay for that would be or how to check it. tomorrow im going to run the wires to the battery to see if the fan motor is still good. pics of the relay would be great,just looking to fix it right before just going to a toggle switch, by the way 96 I6 4x4 4.0L HO if that helps

 

just turn the ac assuming it work the fan will come on with ac if its working

yes fan comes on with ac on, but not when the engine get hot

 

theres mention of a temp sending unit that tells relay to kick on fan, and ideas???

ok got that but now im looking for the relay for the fan?

 

ok now i noticed that fan shuts off after couple secs if air or defrost is on, and when it shuts off the rmps drop a lil.

 

either in pdc box or drivers fender near air box

 

fan should cycle on and off with the ac compressor clutch its normal
