Default Running cold?

My 1998 limited jeeps running temp has been around 130 to 150.. I've replaced the tstat coolant bottle radiator and hoses. It used to have overheating problems but now it won't get hot! I live in southern california so the weather isn't the issue..

Make sure you're using a 195 degree thermostat. It's always good practice to put any new thermostat in a pan of boiling water with a thermometer to make sure it opens at its designated temperature.

I'd "CONFIRM" what your actual coolant temp is.

Get your mitts on an infrared point and shoot thermometer (really inexpensive now and available anywhere) and point it directly at the thermostat housing with a hot engine.

Then you will know for sure. The reason for confirmation is to rule out a sending unit or gauge issue.

x2.

T-stat controls min operating temp. If the t-stat housing shows to be the same as the gauge then I would try a different t-stat. Most are cheap China crud and have little to no qulaity control. A Stant Superstat or OEM t-stat are the best options.

I think I already have one of the point and shoot temp gauges laying around in my garage so I'll try that out, and I'll most likely end up replacing the whole T-stat as well just in case!
