Holy smoke. I'm always in the wrong line of work.

$6 + $5 shipping for a 1.5"od x .75"id x .375" thick piece of plastic.

Whew.

I have the Ruggedridge setup on my rig too with a 4" lift. i went thru the same problem. when i emailed ruggedridge after i replaced everything else with all NEW parts steering box, balljoints, drop pitman, all new polyurthane bushings, trackbar w/drop bracket they would not even answer my email back. i think it is compleatley unsafe to drive a vehicle on the highway with steering wheel float. i did add thease bushings and it did help alot. i also added a steering box cross bar brace and that helped too. because the linkage going from the steering box to the pass tierod is not "Z" shaped there is a lot of added stress to the steering box so i would recommend the brace with the bushings for the rugged ridge setup.
also rugged ridge used to have this on their website. after i emailed them a few months ago it is no longer offered on their website HUM is there a problem they won't admit too?

I have a 99 cherokee, my first jeep, I love it. It's clean, all stock and to be my dailey driver.
When I cut the wheel hard it fells like the wheels are pushing the steering.
Everything is tight with no sign of wear. Is this a quirk of these?
Thanks,

Ok a few months later i ripped out that CRAPPY Heavy Duty Rugged Ridge steering setup. Again sent out another E-Mail to them about the steering roll and still NO reply from them. even with the poly spacers between the tierod end and the knuckle it helps with the roll but when the spacer splits you know when it happens and the sloppy steering is back. so i pulled the system out and installed the Iron Rock Over the knuckle system. and for the 20 bucks i upgraded it to the 5/8" hardware. MAN what a differance My XJ feels like a whole new ride. For anyone thinking about replacing your steering i would recomend this setup. If you dont feel comfertable drilling out your pitman arm and steering knuckles to 5/8" holes you can stick with the 1/2" hardware and it will be a bolt right in install. I did it my self in less than 2 hours. i was able to get the alignment real close and (1/16" toe in ) and steering wheel is stright. this system gets 2 thumbs up from me .

I was about to buy the same setup, & do the polly bushing also. I found it for $200 & I like that price. After you get some driving time, any other thoughts or input might help my decisions.

GREAT GAZOO! You got my attention with IRON ROCK. If I do 1/2 in. no drilling, is it still over the knuckle?

Yes it is. This is third on my list of upgrades after lockers and new tires.

IRON ROCK seems to be the best for the money, & easy install. I'm wondering what back spacing is needed. Any info on that? thanks.

Fitment requirements:
a. 1 1/4" wheel spacer with OEM wheels, or less than 4 1/2" backspacing for 15" wheels, for wheels over 15", most backspacing amounts will work
b. 3 to 8" suspension lift height. A drop pitman arm will change this requirement by the amount of drop provided
