RPM's jump randomly

Default RPM's jump randomly
My 96' classic has been jumping rpms occasionally and I can not figure out what is wrong. Any suggestions? I need some help. Thanks

When is this occurring ?, at idle , when your driving? Throw us some more details !

When driving. Speed does not matter. It occurs at any speed but not very often.

How big a jump? 50-100 RPM? 1,000? Does it come right back down?
Have you ever cleaned the IAC?

From 3 to 2 then back to 3. Or 2 to 1 then back. And no, I just got it a few months back.
