Rpms Drop Greatly in Gear

This problem started last night when I left work. Jeep idles at around 800-900, but when I put it in gear the idle drops to around 200 and almost stalls before rising back to normal idle. Anybody know what the problem is?

1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L HO np231j transfer case aw4 trans

Go figure, my lift kit comes in the mail tuesday, wednesday the Jeep starts acting up......

Haha.. Lift didn't go as planned. Can't get rear leaf packs out

anyway sounds like your stepper motor IAC is acting crazy. Give the throttle body a good clean especially around the throttle plate and then check the IAC and TPS connectors and wires.
