Default rough start.....need help!

I got an issue with my 1993 country. when the jeep has been sitting in between drives and I go to start, it rolls over for about 10 seconds and will finally start pretty rough. if I turn it off and start again it fires right up. I have went through the forum and cant find anyone else with the same issue. my uncle suggested that possibly the fuel pump is not keeping a prime. I was just out there and I followed all of the fuel lines and could not find any leaks. any suggestions?

There should be a check valve in the fuel pump that stops pressure from returning to tank when you turn it off thus keeping the prime pressure..maybe be worn out?
