Hello all! first i just wanted to introduce myself, My name is kyle. i have been in the honda scene for 4 years and recently got out and traded for a 95 jeep Grand cherokee orvis edition with the 5.2 v8 motor. I have never worked on jeeps before so i know virtually nothing mechanically about the. The only downside aboutmy jeep is that it has high miles 239xxx but it still runs great.

The one problem i have with it that when i go and start it at anytime whether warm or not it is hard to idle. Almost as if it is not getting fuel. then when is does turn over it has a rough idle (really low idle, almost like its going to stall) for about 2 seconds then idles normally. But if i hit the gas once i turn it over it will idle normal. I have done some research on it but none of them really seem exactly like my situation. I would like to thank anybody in advance for the help/ \advice. Oh i have also figure a trick for it to start. I have to turn the key make it crank for about4 seconds then turn the key to the off position the turn it over again and then it starts. still a rough low idle but i just hit the gas. and it works just about everytime.

This forum is for regular Cherokees, not the Grand. Nobody has the 5.2 here....
