Lol, how easy is the transmission change?
It is just as I related it above drain and remove the pan change the filter clean the mating surfaces just like with the diffs and put it all back together. The tranny needs a pan gasket so no RTV by itself here. You can use a very small amount to keep the gasket in place but that gasket is needed on the tranny where you can get away without one on the diffs. Refill after buttoning everything up and Make sure to use Dextron IV.
No one would look at you wrong if you let the oil change guys do this as it is much easier in a pit or on a lift. After you build your confidence then you can tackle this in your driveway.

Hey Blue, Dextron III works too right? That's what was listed for mine, just wanted to make sure.

Also, I was underneath my jeep today, and finally found where this leaking was coming from. It looks as though my oil screw, or o-ring has a hole, and its a slow drip. Also, this weekend i'll be doing the diffs, but its going to be hard to get to as the tank is in the way!

Could i ( theorteaclly here), pop off the plastic cap on the diffs, put a suction tube into there, and drain it that way, then fill it? without taking it apart?
Yeah that will work but if you put jackstands under the frame rails and not under the axle it will allow the axel to droop enough to get the cover off.
The oil drain plug does not have a regular O ring but a crush ring for it's seal. They can be had at auto parts houses like NAPA or AZ or O'Rs

That's what some dealers and shops do. They just suck out the old oil and put in new oil. If it hasn't been submerged in mud and stuff, you could do that since there won't be any mud and dirt in there. Sometimes it gets in. The reason we recommend removing the cover is so you can inspect the parts and visibly see if there's chunks or anything at the bottom. But if you wish to pump it out, go ahead, less work.

The rear D35s had a rubber plug in them and they don't break off easily. Your doing the pump thing is fine but you should take a look in there some day to see whats in there. You need some basic mechanics tools to do the routine stuff yourself like a jack oe two and jackstands also. Start aquiring these things a little along. Say one or two things each paycheck until you have a good set of tools to work with. JMHO.

So, today i replaced the oil in my rear diff, but as for my front one, its a screw type one, and the screw is in there beyond my strength, and I do not have any power tools, (lol). So Im going to have to take it to a shop for that one :P Thanks Blue for that link, it helped me with my rears.
Now, i just have to wait for my dam fuel pump gauge....
