Default Rough morning start for my new Cherokee

I have owned my Jeep for a few days now. I went to start it this morning and it cranked and died. I tried again and it took a second to start but when it did it ran rough as hell and wouldnt even show an idle. I gave it a little gas and it smoothed itself out and ran okay for my trip to the parts store. When I left it fired right up.

Yesterday I changed the oil, added seafoam to the crankcase and the fuel tank, changed the fuel filter, changed the air filter and drove it around without any issues.

Do you think its related to one of the services I completed yesterday or its something new? This thing has been meticuosly maintained, I have all the records from day one.

Oh, and its a 94 Sport auto ( I should probably get some pics up one of these days )

MY 93 country has the same problem only on a cold start..It will crank start and die in seconds.. When it starts it dosnt want to idle at all..my solution to this is to give the jeep a LITTLE gas when cranking over on a cold start.. not to much but just enough to get the rpms up to about 1500.. This has worked for me for about 3 weeks.. I dont know if you have the same problem but maybe this will help,glen..

I fixed the problem, I sold the Jeep .

I checked fuel pressure, removed and cleaned the t-body, changed plugs again, replaced the fuel pump and it still didnt like to start when it was cold. Next step was to replace fuel pressure regulator or fuel injectors, but I was pissed so I put it on CL and sold it for full asking price $3200.

Good luck.
