Rough Idle then die. Jeepstuck at work...Help
1989 Cherokee. Driving fine then started to miss as rounded corner. Then backfired and died. Started back up. Idle fine for aboiut a minute then started missing, sounded and smelled like it was running rich. Would idle up and down then stall. hard to restart soon as put into gear (AUTO trans.) it dies, Replaced Cap and rotor, Replaced Crank Shaft Post. Sensor due to no start 2 weeks ago. Has fuel pressure. Just put 8 gallons gas in yesterday ran for about 40 miles with no problem. Was thinking possible water in gas..checked did not see any. Air filter good. Looked for vacuum leak did not see any. I hav coil to put on. Acts like fuel or vacuum problem. Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem, check the vac line that runs from the back of your throttle body (closest to the fuel rail) and see if its still connected. mine melted dont ask me how but it made the jeep run super rich and idle super rough until it would eventually stall.
check and see if that is it, its a super easy fix
