Default Rough Idle at Stop

I just noticed this on my way home from work so Ill get more details tomorrow but my 1990 XJ with a inline six has a rough idle problem when sitting at a stop. It feels like its about to stall and seems to surge. I drove to work fine, but when I headed back home (3 minute drive) it would always be rough when my XJ was sitting at a stop light. I eventually put it into neutral and pushed on the gas to keep the engine going. Any ideas or avenues for me to look at tomorrow? Any thoughts will be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Intake bolts loosened up?

Vacuum leak from some of the lines on the engine?

How many miles on plugs, wires, cap and rotor?

Ever cleaned your throttle body?

Refreshed your grounds?

I ended up spraying out the connectors to the TPS and the MAP sensor with electric cleaner. After I let them dry, I connected them back together and she has been running fine ever since. Do you have any idea why this problem would just appear?

Answers:

Intake bolts loosened up? Nope, I tightened all the bolts (intake/exhaust) a few months ago.

Vacuum leak from some of the lines on the engine? I haven't checked

How many miles on plugs, wires, cap and rotor? 10,000 (roughly)

Ever cleaned your throttle body? Nope, I want to soon though

Refreshed your grounds? Yes, I have done most of the grounds shown through your articles. Thanks for those by the way!

Check them.

Do ALL of them. No shortcuts. And, you're welcome. Enjoy your Renix.

Mine did this. Except not as bad as you. Mine only got to the point where the rear hatch would rattle like a *****. I cleaned my throttle body and I also cleaned the **** out of my IAC and now it runs and purs beautifully. A new IAC is expensive so try cleaning it with throttle body cleaner
