I currently bought a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4 with 4.0 manual. The problem is that at idle it has an engine miss, and initially I didn't think it was a big deal, I just figured I would change plugs wires and that would solve the problem. Soon after I bought it I noticed that when I'm coming to a stop the rpms get really low and it acts like it wants to die, and sometimes does. However this is only at idle or when I'm coming to a stop. The plugs have been replaced, and the problem is still happening. Ive heard it could be the iac so I cleaned it and before I took it off I started messing with the throttle lever. I noticed that if I moved the lever barely at all I could be make the jeep die almost every time. Any help our ideas are appreciated. Thanks!
