Hey guys, I'm getting some rough idle on restart after ive been driving for a while. When i shut it down to run into a store or something and restart it it runs pretty rough. Once it has cooled off it seems fine. I had a mechanic hook it up to a code reader and he says its a mis-fire in cylinder #3. I have had 2 pepole tell me 2 different things. 1 says its the fuel rail loosing pressure due to it being right above the manifold. The other says its a crank sensor.
Any help would be great. It is an 01xj 4.0.

Since you have an 01 it is likely heat soak evaporating the fuel in the 3 and 4 injectors as well as the fuel rail. There is a factory heat shield you can get or just wrap the injectors and fuel rail in aluminum foil.
Hi guys, I am having the exact same issue. I have aluminum foil wrapped around but still have the issue as Bsichter01XJ.....did you ever get a fix for this? Thanks
