I have a 94 Cherokee that is rotting between the rain gutter and the roof rack on both sides from front to back. It's the only rot or rust on the vehicle. It has gone right through in several spots. I have looked at every Cherokee I can find and have not seen one with this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks

 

How well do you want to fix it? Do you own a welder? You could weld up the holes, body fill over the pitted areas and then paint it again.

If you want to fix it for a couple bucks get some JB weld and make a support cross beam for under the hole. You can make the 'cross beam' by cutting a piece of cardboard to a half inch on either side and poking a small nail through it. Then mix up a good amount of JB weld and then coat the cardboard piece really well on the top side. Then take it, stuff it in the hole, holding onto the nail and once through use the nail to pull it up under the hole. Then let the JB set, body fill over the hole, sand and then paint. Crude but will fix the hole.
