Default Roof Rack Help

Trying to replace the one of the rivet nuts for the roof rack. I am thinking the best way to get the old one out would be to drop the headliner. Any tips on this project? What's the best replacement for the old rivet nuts?

A regular ole nut and washer would work fine.

I haven't seen the Jeep roof rack nuts, but from what I've read, they sound like just regular old Well Nuts. If so, they can be found at hardware stores, maybe even lowes or online I'm sure for cheaper than the dealer would charge. May not be the same metric thread, so you'd need to get matching bolts to go with them, but then you could get a bolt with a head other than the Torx if you wanted to.

Any insight on the best way to remove the old one?

I haven't seen the ones in the xj, but normally they just push up into the hole and when the bolt is threaded into them they squish up from the bottom and that's how they hold. Maybe they just push down into the cabin?

These don't appear to be the rubber wellnuts. Almost like nut rivets, they are all metal.
