Roof rack

I have a roof rack im trying to mount but i need a way to do it to make it stay in place zip ties is not helping

I've seen people use hose clamps. I'm not sure that's the best way, but it sure beats zipties.

They sell different sizes of these U clamps. They should work if you can find a size that fits.

How does one use zipties to mount a roof rack? And WHY would one even use them to mount a roof rack? Youre supposed to use duct tape.
