Try the Vendor Showcase section. A guy named B Lee makes a good looking one

I picked up a 52"x60" Kargo Master + congo cage for a TJ today for $125 off of craigslist. After I sell the congo cage, the rack should be just about free.

I kind of like this...not too high.
My old Yakima was sitting a bit too high for my liking.

I like my Surco 48x60. It and the mounting hardware on Amazon was about $325.

Ya, I like the Rola basket myself. There is another one that's similar but lower profile (i think)..it's the Rage Stingray. I think the Rola is sturdier tho

Surco or The Stingray?

OP, I was dang near set on a Surco, until I saw how cheap the Stingray was.

Here are the mounting brackets

I am going to replace the ***** on mine with nuts so they don't stick up like that. The max weight for this rack is 150 lbs.

I'm torn between the Rola and Stingray myself. The Stingray is around $100 at discountramps and the Rola is around $175, both plus shipping. They look similar but the Rola has heavier support it seems. The Rola basket has bars that goes along the bottom sides parallel with the top side rails..the Stingray doesn't. I think both are rated to 150lbs.

dwktr: Do you happen to have a side view pic of ur XJ with the basket?

Thanx

Sorry the rack is a little washed out in the photo, had to take the pic facing the sun because the Commander is in the way on the other side.

Shouldn't affect it too much. Try to find one that is aerodynamic and doesn't have that much holes, or ways air could go though.
