Default Roof Basket

I have read the posts in the other threads, but my question is a little different.
Yakima, Thule, Safari, Arb, Wilderness, ond on and on....

I want a roof basket that does NOT mount to the flimsy luggage cross-bars. I'm not sure about gutter mount yet. I am not opposed to drilling through the roof.

What are some of the options you have seen and liked or used? Pics? AND...... Less than a stack of benjamins. The ARB will set ya back 12000.... I'm looking for packing my camping gear for my upcomming MOAB trip. It needs to look right too...
Thoughts???

I seen a lightweight gutter mount on this site.
Someone else posted the link and I plan on getting a roof rack later so I bookmarked it.
Now if Snorkel kits wasn't so danged expensive.

I dont have a basket, but I have gutter mounted crossbars. There definetly strong enough for a basket and any thing you want to put it in. Quadratec has a basket that mounts straight to the gutters that looks pretty good, but its expensive. http://www.quadratec.com/products/12037_1802_07.htm
