Rolling miles?
Haha i know it sounds like something bad, but it's not. I'm wanting to do the cluster swap to get rid of my idiot lights and my malfunctioning aftermarket gauge, but i dont want just some random miles on it. My jeep only has 120xxx on it so i wanna run the replacement cluster to that number. Any way to do this? turn it with my finger lol? I know you can use a drill somehow

i dont know about these jeeps, but in alot of cars you can take the speedo/odo assembly of the gauge cluster... theyre pretty much designed to make it difficult to roll the miles around.

I'm not sure about Jeeps, but on my old 87 5.0 mustang you could use the speedometer cable where it hooks into the trans. My speedo/odometer wasnt working and we hooked up a drill to the speedo when we replaced the housing just for s**ts and giggles and it worked. If your buying a new cluster I'm almost sure you can just flip it with your fingers. It's illegal BTW, but I do understand wanting to have accurate mileage. Just make sure the mileage is kept up with on the title, just in case you ever sell it.
